STORE POLICIES

  • IN-STORE AVAILABILITY

    Some items from our online inventory aren’t immediately available for in-store pick up. We offer thousands of items online and many are warehoused off-site. We process online orders as soon as possible and generally receive the items within 7 business days.

    It is important to include a legitimate email address when placing an order. We will notify you by email when the item arrives and is ready for pick up. 
  • BRINGING GUNS FOR REPAIR

    Firearms brought into the store for repair must go through our service center, which is a separate door from our main entrance (it's the next door on the right). ALL FIREARMS MUST BE UNLOADED AND IN A CASE. NO LOADED FIREARMS OR MAGAZINES WILL BE ADMITTED. All firearms will be immediately inspected by a McClelland's employee upon entry. There are no exceptions to this rule. This is for your safety as well as ours. If your firearm is jammed with a live round, you must tell us before bringing in the firearm. 
  • PURCHASING FIREARMS ONLINE

    It is illegal to ship firearms to anyone not holding an active Federal Firearms License (FFL). For that reason, firearms purchased online may picked up at our store or shipped to a FFL dealer near you. If you aren't local, please select a FFL dealer and instruct them to send us a copy of their FFL via fax or email. We do not contact your dealer to make these arrangements for you.
  • RESTOCKING FEE FOR DENIED BACKGROUND CHECKS/RENEGING ON ONLINE PURCHASES

    If you get denied on a background check or change your mind about purchasing a gun after it has been ordered and shipped to our store, you will be responsible for a 15% restocking fee plus shipping back to the distributor. 

  • RETURNS

    All used guns come with a 3-day inspection period. You must notify us during this period to qualify for a return. Unless the firearm is defective, you are responsible for return shipping charges. If a used firearm is returned, these fees will apply: a 3% credit card fee if you paid with a credit card and a 15% restocking fee based on the firearm's price. We do not refund original shipping charges.

    Sales on the following items are final:

    1. New firearms.
    2. Special orders.
    3. Products sold "as is" or that have been installed or used after receipt.
    4. Reloading items and supplies.
  • GUNSMITHING 

    If you are still having issues with your gun after we performed service on it, please either bring it back to our Service Shop, email us at info@mcclellandgun.com or reach out to us on the phone at 214. 321. 0231. We're dang good gunsmiths, but not perfect. Your safety is our utmost concern, so please reach out to solve any issues. Don't forget, all service performed carries a 90 day warranty!

  • GENERAL FIREARM SALES

    All firearms, magazines, receivers and restricted law enforcement items are sold and shipped in accordance with all existing federal, state and local laws and regulations. Many of the firearms, magazines and parts for sale on this website may be restricted or prohibited in your area. Please check your local and state regulations before ordering.

    All new firearms are shipped in the original manufacturer's box. Firearms requiring warranty work must be returned to the factory within 1 year of purchase for repair. Please contact the original manufacturer for warranty information on all accessories and special order items. 

  • ORDER FULFILLMENT

    Orders for goods other than firearms are shipped promptly from our store or warehouse usually within 2 - 7 business days using UPS, FedEx, or USPS. Tracking numbers are available for items shipped via UPS and FedEx. Firearm orders ship when we receive a valid FFL.

  • ONLINE PRICE & DESCRIPTION ERRORS

    Our online inventory changes every day. Occasionally an item may appear on the site by mistake or the item's description may contain a typographical error. We do not guarantee that titles, descriptions, pictures or prices on our site are error-free. We reserve the right to refuse any order including but not limited to orders for items with errors in the description or price. In the event that we cancel an order we will not charge the customer's credit card or we will refund the money.

  • AMMUNITION PURCHASES

    You must be 18 or older to purchase shotgun or rifle ammunition and 21 or older to purchase handgun ammunition. All ammunition will be shipped ground with an adult signature required. We adhere to all federal, state and local regulations in regards to the shipment and transfer of ammunition. We do not ship to the following locations:

1. Alaska, California, Connecticut, Hawaii Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington D.C.

2. P.O. Boxes, APO/FPO addresses

3. International addresses

4. U.S. territories

**Due to Department of Transportation regulations, we cannot accept returns on ammo. Always make sure to use the correct ammunition in your firearms. 

  • SECURE TRANSMISSION

    All information collected during the checkout process is transmitted via industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). A Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Certificate creates an encrypted link between a Web site and a visitor's Web browser. This link ensures that all data passed between the Web site and the browser remains private and secure. We do not keep credit cards on file.

  • EMAIL SUBSCRIPTION

    When you join our mailing list, you'll receive our periodic mailings about new products, specials and updates. You can unsubscribe at any time. The mailing list is never made available to outside parties. We DO NOT sell e-mail addresses or other personal information to another company.
