This Merkel 200E 12 gauge shotgun is in great, used condition.

The blued finish on the barrels is in great shape, with some slight wear at the muzzle and some minor handling marks. The walnut stock and forend are custom made by Wenig's. They are both in excellent condition, with a few minor handling marks. Both retain their original integrity with no splits or cracks. The receiver shows engraving and cased colors. There's some slight wear on the lower edges of the receiver. The length of pull measures 15". It measures 1 7/8" straight at the comb. It measures a 3" drop at the heel. It produces a flat sight plane for an upright mounting, without having to lean down.

The barrels measure 27" in length, are ported, are chambered for 2.75" shells, and have fixed improved cylinder and modified chokes. Bore is in excellent condition. About 2" from the muzzle, ahead of the porting, on the lower barrel, there is a bulge. Check the pics. It's been shot many years since the bulge appeared and has not interfered or been an issue. However, to purchase this gun, you must accept the liability that in the unlikely instance the barrel might fatigue and split one day.

Mechanically, this gun is in excellent functioning condition and test fired successfully. Does not come with the original box or paperwork.
